On Wednesday, January 16th, I decided it was time for Tracy to get out of the house. She had not been out since we came home on Saturday, and even though she said she was fine, I wanted her to get out for a bit and get some fresh air.
Fresh, cold air.
For some reason Tracy didn't feel that Xander wasn't old enough to stay home alone yet, so we decided to bundle him up and make that first excursion beyond the walls.
We bundled Xander up, but not too heavily because we remembered Dr. Mishra's talk about baking the baby.
Plus, the snowsuit was WAY too big.
A thicker outfit and a couple blankets and we were ready to face the world.
First was had to pick up Haley from school. She was pretty surprised to see mom and little brother in the back seat!
Then it was off to Shopko. Haley needed some new shoes, Tracy wanted a new sweatshirt to wear and I wanted some new toys.
Xander traveled well the whole 15 minutes we were in the car, sleeping for much of it. I don't think shopping interested him too much becasue even when I showed him all the cool toys he and I would be playing with, he didn't get too excited.
After Shopko we treked over to Walley World for a few more things. This time Xander got a few things, clothes and some batteries for the great swing Aunt Rachel sent home.
After that Xander was pretty tired and we decided to come home. I'm glad the first trip out was uneventful but fun.
